Abstract: |
In addition to excavation of features of the former alum works at beach level, the project also recorded upstanding features such as piers, docks and quarries and remains of steeping pits across all of Saltwick Bay The project successfully recorded the features associated with alum production in Saltwick Bat such as the alum house, steeping pits etc below the beach, harbour structures, breakwater and quarries. |
