The Rural Settlement of Roman Britain project was a major research project led by the University of Reading, which used traditionally published reports and ‘grey literature’ reports from developer-funded excavations to provide a comprehensive reassessment of the countryside of Roman Britain. The ADS played an important role as a project partner, providing technical expertise on database and web mapping, data provision, and latterly ensuring that all digital outputs were preserved.
The outputs of the project have been archived by the ADS.
