Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently
and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources
to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the
ADS can be found on our help page.

Long bone segment note: When an entry is made into the L1 table – in the example entries for a left and right femur – the application validates the entry made. In this case a three character binary array is expected indicating the presence or absence of the proximal, shaft and distal thirds of the bone, e.g. 101, 111, 010, 110, 011.
