Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Overview

The second section, C252 spans from the Colne Valley, just west of London to Lower Boddington in West Northamptonshire.

This section is split into CFA areas 7 to 15:

  • CFA07 - Colne Valley
  • CFA08 - The Chalfonts and Amersham
  • CFA09 - Central Chilterns
  • CFA10 - Dunsmore, Wendover and Halton
  • CFA11 - Stoke Mandeville and Aylesbury
  • CFA12 - Waddesdon and Quainton
  • CFA13 - Calvert, Steeple Claydon, Twyford and Chetwode
  • CFA14 - Newton Purcell to Brackley
  • CFA15 - Greatworth to Lower Boddington

For each CFA, this section includes a range of background information comprising archaeological and build heritage survey reports, designation information, archaeological research frameworks, HER information, aerial photographs and historic maps.

Reuse Value

This data is useful as a legacy of the largest archaeological EIA ever undertaken in the UK. There may be potential for re-use following completion of the project in terms of cross comparison. For example, comparison of projected impacts on heritage significance vs actual impacts could help to inform future EIAs. Integration with the excavation and PX archives of HS2 may be possible.
