Keay 52 fabric

Visual characteristics

A hard, rough, sandy somewhat micaceous fabric. It is pinkish light-brown in colour (7.5Y 7/4 to 6/4).

Petrology

Material thought to be from Calabria is dominated by metamorphic inclusions, primarily quartz-mica-schist, plentiful strands of mica and some quartz grains.
