Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The image downloads are divided into the 5 sections listed below. The Photographs sections contains photos of Köshks, Houses, Mosques, and Mausolea of the site while the maps section contains maps of Merv and the surrounding area. Rotating images are QuickTime VR (.mov) files which give 360° views of selected areas around Merv. To view these files you may need to download QuickTime if you do not already have it installed. Finally, the slide show narratives are images from the slide show movies associated with this archive.
