Full Record - Nottingham, Brewhouse Yard Museum

LocationNottingham, Brewhouse Yard Museum, Nottinghamshire
Grid referenceSK 569 394
DescriptionBrewhouse Yard Museum. A three-storey building forming a shallow H-plan. Pevsner describes the buildings as being well detailed with plain gables, brick bands, projecting keystones, with redder brick dressing to the upper windows. This and the building to the west of it were originally thought to have been built sometime before 1680. As presently constructed it has a principal-rafter roof with single purlins. Some of the timbers show signs of re-use. This work was funded by a generous grant provided by A. & C. Black, Educational Publishers.
