Description: Medieval and later features were located during excavations at 70-76 Eden Street in 1995. Finds recovered included prehistoric worked flint, Roman building material and pottery dated to circa 1050-1150. No features were found associated with these finds. Four early 14th century pits were also located. Later development of the site was represented by 17th century pits and features associated with the street frontage. Eighteenth century features included a boundary ditch and cobbled surfaces associated with tenements, gravel pits, post holes and features associated with the street frontage.
