Description:
This is part of a lead mine & is an Industrial Heritage site, given an SMR no. for scheduling purposes. This site is one of the last remaining engine-houses in Northern Ireland. Other important features are the chimney, shaft, spoil heap, dam and quarry. This complex makes up an important part of what was, in the C19th the major lead mining area in Ireland.
