The main phases included: evidence of Later Mesolithic flint-working; a Early Bronze Age midden and settlement-related structures; a Late Bronze Age to Iron Age domestic site; a Late Iron Age roundhouse; artefacts possibly related to Early Medieval ecclesiastical foundations in the area; and possible nineteenth-century fish-drying racks.
