Abstract: Reports on the lifting of a furnace from its original site at Cannock Chase, near Rugeley (Staffordshire), for removal to the glass museum at Kingswinford, W Midlands. Historical links between Staffordshire and Surrey glassmakers are noted (the lifting was undertaken by a Surrey-based conservation firm).
