Abstract: Presents a group of unusually large, rectangular ceramic tiles that were excavated from the abbey church. The tiles were handmade locally, using the sgraffiato technique with inscriptions in English. The tiles are thought to have originally been used in the late-fifteenth or early-sixteenth century over a grave in the retrochoir.
