A watching brief on the site recorded a small number of features of Roman date and a single early-seventeenth-century AD inhumation burial, far from consecrated ground. The thirty--forty year old man had malformed legs and was buried in a shallow grave, perhaps partly dressed and with a purse of silver coins by his waist. Includes separately authored reports on: |
