Abstract: Thin sectioning, scanning electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction have allowed the recognition of a group of vessels so closely related in type, fabric, forming and firing technology, and decorative techniques that they were probably the products of a single workshop ('Prunay'). This workshop marks the beginning of a quite new potting tradition, with standardization of pastes, wheel-throwing, and 'negative' painting. Au (abr)
