Abstract: Full reports (see abstract 73/2107) for interim report) on 15 excavations on a 9-mile stretch of motorway works (Stokenchurch to Great Milton) which revealed 14 occupation sites of EIA to medieval date. Small finds and environmental evidence are catalogued, site distributions are discussed and an as yet undated medieval ware is temporarily designated "M40-ware".
