Abstract: Nearly forty objects comprising a surgeon's instrumentanum (acquired without contextual information) are catalogued and discussed in detail. The instruments fall into three main types - basic surgical instruments, pharmaceutical pieces, and specialist instruments - and include some very rare pieces.
