Abstract: A gazetteer of thirty-nine surviving houses is provided, together with some key details. Seven houses earlier than 1820 survive wholly or in part, including several of the 18th century. Conservation work is proceeding too slowly and a National Trust for Industrial Archaeology, as suggested by N Cossons, is needed.
