Abstract: Reports on excavations conducted over a 2.5ha area in the London Borough of Havering. An extensive LBA settlement was revealed on the Thames gravels, and the site is thought particularly significant because of the association of a circular ditched enclosure or ringwork with contemporary field system, as well as post-holes. Placed pottery deposits and burials were also found. Finds included decorated Post-Deverel-Rimbury pottery, burnt flint, spindle whorls, possible loomweights, perforated clay slabs, and a bivalve clay sword mould. The entire site was sealed by a colluvial ploughsoil.
