Abstract: Two main sites were investigated. Tibbet's Close had stratified Iron Age remains, late 2nd century stone and timber domestic buildings, and a med malting or drying oven. No 6 Birch Abbey contained extramural occupation. From the six other sites reported come some ?military objects from residual contexts, some charred asparagus seeds, and animal bones suggesting that calf meat and wool production were unimportant in these areas of the town.
