Abstract: Description and discussion of an iron object found during excavations at Keynsham Roman villa, near Bristol, in 1922-4, previously identified as a Roman spearhead but thought by the author to be more probably a mosaicist's chisel, especially when considered in context with the mosaics found at the site.
