Abstract: |
The survey revealed lengthy sequences of discontinuous land-use. BA activity at Langdon Hills, suggested by the discovery of pottery, cannot be related to any of the surviving earthwork features. At South Weald Camp, an entrance into the feeble univallate hillfort (thought to be of LIA date: see 96/359) was identified. Both sites yielded evidence of medieval activity in the form of woodland boundary banks and/or deerpark pales. |
