Abstract: The site developed from the thirteenth-century moated farmstead, through the Trinitarian Priory, to the sixteenth-century manor house. There are details of the moats, field-systems, fishponds, and rabbit warren. There is an architectural history of the later house. Geophysical survey was undertaken within the moated enclosure. Trial excavation confirmed the position of the priory church together with part of the cloister and a stone culvert. A complex of monastic fishponds and leats are closely associated with the western arm of the moat. Pottery, lead seals, painted window glass, wall-plaster, and tile were amongst the finds.
