Abstract: Reports 1992 trenches over the western range of the villa and further excavation and watching brief in 1994. Evidence for prehistoric (Meso--BA worked flint) and RB activity was unearthed. There are details of: `Copper alloy objects' (93--4), `Iron objects' (95), and `Worked bone objects' (95) all by Rachael Seager Smith; `Glass' by Denise Allen (95--6); `Shale or jet' by Rachael Seager Smith (96--7); `Worked flint' by W A Boismier (97); `Pottery' (97--109), `Ceramic building material' (109--10), and `Painted wall-plaster' (110--13) are all by Rachael Seager Smith; `Animal bones' by S Hamilton-Dyer (113--15); and finally `Oysters' by Rachael Seager Smith (115).
