Abstract: Describes a number of short discrete lengths of multiple ditches recorded from the air over a wide area of the Midlands between Humber and Northampton. Nearly all are cropmark sites but two stretches have upstanding earthworks. Trial excavations showed three infilled ditches with two medial banks. The suggestion is that they form a system of prehistoric tribal boundaries.
