| Abstract: | HY 428493. Re-examination of notes made by George Petrie in 1866 led to survey of an area on Westray where he had reported midden material. The midden was relocated; preservation of material, including bone objects, is good and there was clearly a very large Grooved Ware settlement here closely comparable to Skara Brae and Rinyo. | ||||
