Abstract: A third important site has been excavated at Egham, this time a piled river frontage of LBA date together with quantities of domestic debris; Middle Neolithic material was lower in the section and a rich range of biological remains has been recovered. Egham had previously yielded a firm correlation between pottery and metalwork for LBA, some important evidence for horse riding, and two Continental bronzes as well as a Ewart Park hoard. It is tempting to see the three sites, spanning 300 m along M25, as parts of a single large trading complex, but they could equally be phases of a shifting settlement.
