Abstract:
Interim summary of the now completed excavations of the quarry-threatened hillfort. Of seven platforms, only one contained a possible house. The multiple defences near the SE entrance showed a more complex sequence than expected, including five palisades. Some relative dating is available from stratigraphy, and 14C determinations may help. RB sherds occur in postholes of four-post structures, and a rubble capping to Bank 1 could be of RB date. A pair of mould-stones for metal ?ingots lay in a disused posthole.
