Abstract: Two burnt bottles found near the estuarine fort at Pennal are of the glazed ware formerly known as St Rémy-en-Rollat; and another Central Gaulish bottle comes from near Caer Gai. They suggest an early Flavian use of the presumed supply base at Llanfor (Bala Lake).
