Abstract: |
Article on two recently discovered coins, both of which have confirmed the authenticity of other, previously unique and historically significant, coins. The first is a Leges et Iura aureus of Octavian dated to 28 BC, identified in early 2005 during work on the Hart collection at Blackburn Museum. The second is a coin from the Chalgrove II hoard of Domitian II, thought to have been a short-lived ruler of the Gallic empire in the third quarter of the third century AD. |
