Adduces evidence that the personal ornaments in the ship burial were in positions normal to bodies in Saxon graves of 6th/7th centuries, and moreover that the iron cleats, not previously properly explained, were fixings from a wooden coffin large enough to take the principal grave goods as well as the body. | ||||||||||
