Abstract: The paper gives a detailed overview of a GIS-based condition recording system developed at Chersonesos, a large, multi-phase site in Ukraine. It presents the results of a pilot project to test its implementation in the ancient city centre of Chersonesos, and discusses its merits as a model for condition recording and long-term monitoring for complex, open-air sites. Includes French and Spanish summaries.
