Abstract: A double mummy case in the National Museum contains two children. It is thought to have been discovered in Thebes and belong to the Roman period. One of the children, a male infant, was examined in detail. The latter is noteworthy because of the high quality of the embalming process which was not generally observed for children. The mummy of a woman at the Royal Scottish Museum dates to the eighth century BC.
