Abstract: The seals of Dunkeld and Oslo Cathedrals are compared. The origins of the representations of reliquary shrines upon them are considered. The source of these images, and of the seals themselves, in France and the Low Countries is discussed in the context of cultural and political contacts betweenScotland, Norway and France.
