Abstract: Article describing the sequence of settlement evidence uncovered by investigations at a site near the junction of Romford Road and Vicarage Lane, Stratford. Activity from the prehistoric to the post-medieval period was indicated, that from the medieval period being particularly well represented and including environmental material.
