Abstract: Record of the structural remains of a rectangular farm building and associated walls allegedly build from stones taken from a priory situated nearby. Documentary evidence shows that much of the surrounding land was originally in church ownership, including that of the priory of Conishead. It is suggested that, given its size and layout, the building may have been a monastic grange.
