Abstract: This route was rediscovered using fieldwork observation and dowsing techniques. It is described here in sections, from Watercrook to Helsfell, from Helsfell to Staveley, and from Staveley to Broadgate. There will be a report on the remaining sections of the road, from Broadgate to Ambleside, in the near future. IH
