Abstract: Schedule of Roman finds recorded at Chester, including for each entry the year and place of finding, a brief description, the repository, and references to works containing more detailed information. A short introduction notes that the original intention had been to record only those finds that throw light on the layout of the fortress and its environs, and that this principle has in the main been adhered to. The connection between the fort at Deva (Chester) and the first century legionary fortress of Novaesium on the Rhine is mentioned. LD
