Abstract: Thematic review of the state of knowledge of Roman Middlewich, looking at results from a large number of developer-funded excavations undertaken to the north-east of the town centre since 1990. Available results from the significant body of work predating 1990 are also drawn together and possible future directions for research are highlighted.
