Abstract: The largest excavated cemetery in the Roman military zone lies c 350m SW of the fort: it included twelve cists (eight of which are described and figured) and nearly thirty cremation pits, truncated, some with hobnails. The date range is assessed at mid-2nd century to late 3rd, and the population was civil rather than military. Grave orientations were analysed.
