Abstract: Detailed description of a roofless but well-preserved tower believed to be of fifteenth-century date with possible later alterations, originally a detached part of a manorial complex which would have included a separate house. This was later replaced by an adjoining eighteenth-century mansion house, now demolished. Its original purpose would appear to have been defensive. Recent repair work revealed a twelfth-century voussoir, possibly from a former chapel nearby.
