Abstract: This year saw the publication of the long-awaited final report on the 13-year research project at St Mary s Church, Deerhurst (Glos). The work at St Marys was formative in the development of church archaeology as a sub-discipline and to celebrate the project Rosemary Cramp, Tim Tatton-Brown, Richard Gem and David Parsons reassess the importance of the work at Deerhurst and the resulting book.
