Abstract: A wide-ranging study of the pottery which describes the physical and social context, outlines the pottery type series, examines the procurement and supply of pottery, and looks at the changes brought about during the later Middle Ages, considering their effects on peasant and lord, and on the pottery industry and its products. There is also a functional analysis based on surface residues, wear patterns and repairs.
