Abstract:
Reports on investigations undertaken during landscaping work associated with the establishment of an Historic Scotland management agreement at the site of a henge, cairns, standing stones and a barrow. Geophysical survey revealed several anomalies, one of which (a ditch) was subject of a trial excavation but no finds were recovered. Fieldwalking also failed to produce surface finds relating to prehistoric activity -- possibly because the site was once covered with blanket peat that has now been stripped away. Appendices catalogue photographs and contexts [19--23].
