Abstract: An assessment of existing aerial photographs of an area of two 1km squares (ST6469 and ST6569) was undertaken on behalf of the Avon Archaeological Unit. The National Monuments Record listed several Roman small finds in the study area, and a Roman villa at the core of the area. Medieval or post-medieval ridge and furrow, drainage ditches and possible Roman ditches were recognised during the assessment, although the function of the Roman ditches could not easily be determined.
