Abstract: The watching brief observed the laying of foundations for a conservatory against a building known as the Manor House, of 16th century origin. A single substantial feature was observed cutting through the clay. A single sherd of pottery was recovered from its fill, probably a late medieval baluster jug (14th - 15th century). No other significant archaeological features or deposits were encountered.[Au(abr)]
