Abstract: The assessment was undertaken prior to the proposed development of the site. Stone and flint axes of Neolithic date and Roman burials had previously been found within 1km of the site but no archaeological discoveries had been identified as having originated from within the proposed development site. Lack of previous earth moving on a large scale on the site, however, suggested that archaeological features might have survived. [Au]
