Abstract: The trenches contained a relatively high density of features, mainly boundary or drainage ditches, a post hole and layers that contained medieval occupation debris. It is suggested that some boundaries, oriented north-east to south-west, may pre-date the establishment of Croft four. A large amount of pottery was recovered from the features dating the period of activity on the site to between the 12th and 14th or 15th centuries. Small amounts of residual, late Iron Age, Roman and Saxo-Norman pottery was found. [Au(abr)]
