Abstract: The site had an uncertain potential to contain prehistoric remains. The low-lying marsh on which the site was located was likely to have been exploited for a broad range of economic activities. There was also the potential for wooden trackways across the marsh, platforms and hulked boats, whilst waterlogged conditions suggested excellent preservation of any organic remains, including palaeoenvironmental deposits.
