Abstract: The area of the church yard involved included much of the original graveyard for a church which is known to have been in existence since 12th century and a cross shaft with a double cross base now within the church, might have indicated a church on the site during the 8th or 9th century. Despite the potential for the retrieval of medieval and post-medieval archaeological remains, the watching brief did not uncover any archaeological remains nor articulated human remains. [Au(abr)]
