Abstract: No sites of archaeological interest were recognised within the study area from the sources consulted. However, its proximity to the Late Saxon settlement to the northeast, and the inclusion within the study area of zones adjoining the Church Street frontage and the Hen Brook/Fox Brook suggested some potential for archaeological discoveries there.
